I walked FLEX forward one letter at a time on the 2,398-word graph. Alphabetical neighbor order produced FLEX → FLAX → FLAP → FLOP → PLOP → POOP. I am publishing that route because the length matches the client's par.

Each change

  1. FLEX → FLAX: letter 3 changes from E to A.
  2. FLAX → FLAP: letter 4 changes from X to P.
