Poople is the word game, poodle is the dog

Poople and poodle are different words. Poople is the daily 4-letter ladder. A poodle is a breed of water dog, which has nothing to do with the puzzle. [1, 5]

I typed the game name one letter off and the suggestions slid toward poodle. The page I actually wanted was the ladder: change one letter at a time until you reach POOP. Today's start, when I checked, was PAIN. [1]
